After Woody's success in Western Europe, Beverage Brands targeted Canada as a prime market. With an affluent, brand-conscious, youthful population, the market was a perfect fit for the Woody's brand.

As the largest province, Ontario was the obvious place to start. Alcohol distribution is controlled by the Liquor Board of Ontario, a government-controlled monopoly with unique packaging regulations and requirements, Beverage Brands appointed BAG to facilitate the listing of Woody's Pink Grapefruit in 1997. Beverage Brands started shipping its first containers of Pink Grapefruit that Spring. It was an immediate success.

Since obtaining the first listing in 1997, with a dedicated team of brand managers and sales representatives, BAG has assisted us to build on this initial success to create a portfolio that today includes three Woody's, three Woody's Ice and one WKD variant – Beverage Brands is now the No.2 RTD manufacturer in Ontario and the No.1 imported RTD manufacturer (retail sales in Ontario were worth C$33.7m in 2003). We have also extended distribution of our brands into other Canadian provinces including Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, creating a total retail value for Canada of over C$37m.
